My daily schedule in Salamanca!

My daily routine starts around 8:30 in the morning when I get up for school. Although my class starts at 10 am, I like to get up early to shower and eat with enough time to take a more casual walk to school. I also do not have internet in my house, so sometimes I will get to school a little bit early to use the internet.
After getting to school, I have class from 10am to 1:30 pm. My first class is from 10 to 11 and is art history. I like the class, though it was not my first choice of subjects. The professor is interesting and I can understand her well, which makes it a good class to start off the day. Next I have my Spanish culture class with the same professor. The culture class is less interesting. We watch a lot of videos and have a lot of worksheets. However there are students from other countries in the culture class which makes it slightly more interesting. Finally I have my University of Michigan class. That is probably my favorite class because we learn things that are relevant to my time in Salamanca.
After class finishes at 1:30pm, I head home for lunch. I normally get home around 2 and talk to my host mom as she cooks. We have lunch around 2:30pm, at which time I am normally
quite hungry. Lunch is always an experience because my host mom never repeats a dish. Sometime after 3pm we clean up from lunch and I take a tiny siesta before my singing class at 4.
My singing class lasts for an hour and a half. We sing the whole time and my professor plays the guitar. It is an extremely fun class with students of all ages from all over the world. We learn traditional Spanish songs and on the final day we went to watch some of the University of Salamanca singers perform in the plaza.
After my singing class I normally head to café y te to do homework and use the internet. Occasionally I will skype with friends or meet other U of M students there to study. We hang out and talk at café y te until I head home around 8. At home I will either talk with my host parents (if they are there) or read. Sometimes I take a book to the park next to my house and I will read there. Then at 9:30 we have dinner.
After dinner my schedule depends heavily on the night. Some nights my host parents and I spend an hour or two talking, eating galletas, and even drinking chupitos. Other nights I will meet my friends in the plaza around 11 for drinks and then dancing. And finally some nights I spend with my favorite food class tasting wines or having tapas. In the end, after some much needed sleep, the day starts all over again!
